Pulmonary Hypertension Program

Pulmonary hypertension affects blood pressure in the lungs. We offer advanced expertise and specialized care to support the lung and heart health of children with this serious condition. Our team is committed to providing the highest level of care to improve the lives of our young patients.

About Us

When children have pulmonary hypertension, the blood vessels (arteries) carrying blood from the heart are narrow or stiff. The heart works harder to pump blood through blood vessels in the lungs. Over time, this can cause serious heart and lung damage and life-threatening complications.

Our multispecialty heart and lung experts focus exclusively on diagnosing and treating pulmonary hypertension and related complications in children. The Pulmonary Hypertension Program at Children’s Nebraska is led by board-certified pediatric pulmonologists (lung disease experts) and board-certified cardiologists (heart experts). Their combined expertise and leadership ensure high-level, comprehensive care.
