Accessibility Statement

Children’s Nebraska is committed to providing a website that is accessible and user-friendly to the widest possible audience. To fulfill this commitment, our digital services are continually tested and reviewed for accessibility. Children's digital services, including the use of automated tools, keyboard navigation, screen readers and other related assistive technologies, are being improved to increase usability by all persons.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA and Level AAA. Children’s digital services are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content does not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are working to have the website and all digital services conform to the relevant standards of the WCAG guidelines.

Children’s efforts to improve digital services and accessibility are ongoing. Our goal is to have the website adhere to WCAG, Section 508 and other guidelines and standards. It is not always possible to do so in all areas of Children’s digital services.
