Community Benefit & Engagement

A child’s health is largely influenced by factors in their environment – safe homes and neighborhoods, access to healthy food, quality education and resources to manage life’s challenges. All of these environmental influencers determine a child’s future health outcomes.

Elevating Child Health

Children’s Nebraska is committed to improving the health of children in our community, especially those from underrepresented populations, by investing in programs and resources that create a positive and healthy future for kids and families. Community Benefit programs and services are key to this commitment. An annual report of Community Benefits with expenses, impact data and program stories, is published each year.

Child & Community Health Priorities

A Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) is a key component of Community Health because it guides and informs the work of positively impacting communities where children live, learn and play.
