Cardiac Care Unit (CCU)

Children's Nebraska's Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) is a floor dedicated to the full spectrum of heart care. Specialized providers, adaptable care rooms and comprehensive services are available all in one place.

About Us

At Children’s Nebraska, we provide expert cardiac care in our state-of-the-art Cardiac Care Unit (CCU), a floor dedicated to caring for the full spectrum of heart patients. Our team of providers is specially trained to treat even the most complex heart conditions.

In the CCU, we aim to make your experience with us seamless. From admission to discharge, you’ll stay with the same care team. Every room in our 32-bed CCU can function as an intensive care room or a step-down room (when your child doesn’t need intensive care but isn’t ready to go home yet). This flexibility allows us to offer efficient care. By reducing transfers, we can focus on what matters most — helping your child get better.
