About Us
As part of Children's Advocacy team, the Foster Care Clinic addresses the medical and behavioral health needs of children in foster care. Foster children often experience gaps in care, such as missing immunizations, medication for chronic conditions and dental or vision services. Many also require emotional and behavioral support, especially those who have experienced trauma, which can lead to long-term health issues.
At Children’s, we collaborate with you, families, caregivers and specialists to ensure comprehensive care for every child. Our team works with Project Harmony and other state agencies to provide thorough exams during a single visit. Results are shared with the birth family, foster family, caseworkers and primary care provider. A follow-up appointment with a primary care provider is scheduled to monitor the child’s health. No child is ever turned away, as we are committed to helping every child thrive.
