The Pediatric Nephrology and Dialysis team at Children’s Nebraska provides specialized care for children with kidney diseases. Our experienced nephrologists, nurses and dialysis technicians collaborate with families to create personalized treatment plans tailored to each child’s needs. We offer both in-center and home dialysis options, ensuring comprehensive care and support throughout the dialysis process. As the only pediatric dialysis center in the area, our team of experienced dialysis specialists is dedicated to educating your patient’s family and providing the support needed to navigate their child’s dialysis treatment with confidence and understanding.
Our board-certified pediatric nephrologists are highly trained and specialize in the unique needs of children with kidney conditions. In addition to nephrologists, our dedicated dialysis team includes:
Dialysis registered nurses (RNs) who manage your patient’s dialysis treatment, ensure medication is administered properly and provide education for at-home care
A nursing case manager who coordinates and oversees the child’s treatment plan
A dialysis unit supervisor who ensures the highest quality care in the dialysis unit
A biomedical technician who ensures the dialysis equipment operates properly
Social workers who offer emotional, educational and financial support for the family
Dietitians who educate and guide on the child’s nutritional needs throughout the dialysis process
