Since joining Children’s Nebraska as President and Chief Executive Officer in 2020, Chanda has led the organization through significant growth and bold visioning for the future. Previously, Chanda served at Arkansas Children’s as the Executive Vice President and System Chief Operating Officer for four years. In Arkansas, she oversaw the system operations of two hospital campuses, clinical services, human resources and support services. Prior to leading in Arkansas, she served as the President for Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus, Houston’s first community hospital designed exclusively for children. Chacón spent 14 years at Texas Children’s Hospital - one of the nation’s top pediatric healthcare institutions - serving in progressive leadership roles, including ambulatory operations, Heart Center, Fetal Center, Women’s Services and Pharmacy.
Chanda is a proud member and active contributor to various influential groups, serving with the National Young Presidents’ Organization, American Hospital Association, Children’s Hospital Association Board, Omaha Chamber of Commerce Board Executive Committee, Project Harmony Board and as Chair of the United Way of the Midlands Board.
