Dr. Esposito’s special interests are in children’s extremity deformities, osteogenesis imperfecta, congenital and developmental disorders, cerebral palsy, and musculoskeletal effects of pediatric obesity. He is an active member of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Orthopedics, Council on Sports Medicine and Fitness and the Council on Children with Disabilities. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the U.S. Bone and Joint Initiative, and co-chairman of the Pediatric Specialty Committee. He is also a member of the medical advisory board of the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation. He is a professor of orthopedic surgery at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, and the Barbara and Ronald W. Schaefer Endowed Chair in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery.
