About
My name is Patrician Seivert, and I’m a pediatrician at Children’s Physicians, University of Nebraska Medical Center. I like the resiliency of kid’s illnesses and the fact that we can make such a big difference if we treat them early on and impact their health for their whole lives. I like that about kids. I hope my patients describe me as someone who listens, does extra for them, goes to all lengths to solve whatever issues they’re coming in for, and someone who is good-hearted and kind. I would like to treat them as the way that I like to be treated. I have 4 kids, and I’m pretty picky. I always think of how it would feel to be in their position. I think being a good listener, knowing that I’m going to stay up to date with all the new information, and just being present with them in the room is important. To be present with your child at this age where everybody is looking at their phones or their computers, or they’re worried about stuff — if you just sit down and be in the moment with your child, they can sense that. That actually has an impact on their health.
