About
My name is Kelsey Stoysich, and I’m a physician assistant at the Children’s Physicians in Council Bluffs.
I’ve always been drawn to pediatrics because I love children, making them feel better, making them feel comfortable. As a parent myself, I know having someone to discuss things with, who knows what’s normal and what’s not, and who can reassure you is really important.
The walk-in service is pretty much centered around treating the child with what needs to be taken care of at that moment. So, it’s mostly kind of acute things, medications to get treatment started, but also knowing that we’ll need to follow up and work alongside the regular physicians in order to have a good strong plan of care.
Our families can trust me with their care because I’ve gone through a very strong educational program to get my physician assistant degree. I’ve also been mentored by many great physicians within the Children’s program and outside that. I have a lot of really strong resources to call upon if I have questions and concerns. I’m a parent myself, so I know a lot of times how they feel, and I’ve been in their shoes as well.
