Why pediatrics at Children’s Physicians?

This is the place that made me interested in pediatrics when I was in medical school. I got to experience firsthand how caring all the staff, nurses, providers are here. I got to see the drive for giving the best care possible to kids.

What’s your approach to treating patients?

Using shared decision making is my approach. I bring medical knowledge to the visit and a medical background but I also like to hear what parents and the patients are experiencing at home and how day-to-day life looks for them. There’s a lot of nuance to medicine and it involves that human factor making sure that we are coming up with a plan and that’s going to work for that patient and that family.

How would patients and their families describe you?

I would hope that they would find me to be caring. I really do care a great deal about every patient that walks through the door and I want to treat them so they can live their best life possible. I also hope families find me informative and that they walk away from the visit having a good understanding of how their child’s doing, what their diagnosis is, what it means, and what that treatment plan is going to look like for that child going forward.
