Hi, my name is Kathleen Davis. I am a pediatrician with Children’s Physicians Bellevue. I always enjoyed working with children and I did a lot of programs growing up — summer programs working with grade school youth, and that sort of thing. And so working as a pediatrician kind of allows me to combine my interest in science and medicine along with the joy I feel working with kids.

I hope my patients would describe me as nice, a listener, trustworthy, and someone they can talk to when they have their problems.

The typical patients I see a range anywhere from birth to 18 years of age. I see a good mixture of kids who are healthy and coming in for their well visits, as well as kids who are coming in because they’re feeling really sick — having trouble breathing, having fever, what have you.

The best advice I have for parents or caregivers is, one, trust your instincts. If you feel like something is wrong, please don’t hesitate to contact your doctor. We are always happy to listen to you if you feel like something with your child isn’t right. The second piece of advice I would say is that every child is different, and so just because one child is doing something doesn’t mean that your child is going to do something the exact same way.
