As an Omaha native I am delighted to be back home. My first love as a pediatric resident was pediatric cardiology, but I quickly learned that I loved the interplay of physiology between all the body systems and hence found my true calling as a cardiac intensivist. In addition to working in the cardiac ICU full time, I have a range of projects that focus on quality improvement within the cardiac ICU including a specific interest in the mitigation of hospital acquired conditions (HACs) as well as improving physician utilization within our hospital’s electronic medical record.
