Children’s Nebraska is a 225-bed nonprofit organization that has been caring for children since 1948. Founded by the community and for the community, Children’s is the only full-service pediatric specialty health center in Nebraska, providing expertise in more than 50 pediatric specialties and primary care. Patients are referred from throughout the five-state region and beyond for the treatment of complex childhood diseases. At Children’s, no child needing medical care is ever turned away due to the inability to pay.

Child Health Research Institute
The Child Health Research Institute (CHRI), an innovative partnership between the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and Children’s, promotes research in pediatric health, consolidates and coordinates efforts under one institute and empowers scientists to make advancements in childhood medical outcomes. CHRI was established in 2017 and assists investigators with funding support and infrastructure for clinical, basic science or translational research.

Children’s is dedicated to providing exceptional experiences and outcomes for our patients and families and is investing in the space and technology needed to provide the very best care. Our growth has been immense with the opening of the state-of-the-art Hubbard Center for Children housing our Level IV regional NICU, Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, first-in-the-region Cardiac Care Unit (CCU), Fetal Care Center and more. Our growth will only continue with plans for a Behavioral Health & Wellness Center, a new Innovation Center and a pediatric specialty and primary care clinic serving the west Omaha metro area.
