Children’s Will Offer COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics for Children Under Age 5
Children as young as 6 months through 5 years of age are now eligible to be vaccinated for COVID-19 following the recent authorization from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration and endorsement from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Anyone may make an appointment for their child ages 6 months to 5 years through Children’s Connect; families of non-Children’s patients can schedule by calling 402-955-SHOT.

Children’s Receives COVID-19 Vaccines, Begins Accepting Clinic Appointments
Children ages 5 and older are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine following FDA emergency use authorization of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for this age group.
Starting today, Nov. 3, 2021, parents/guardians can make appointments for eligible children to get vaccinated through Children’s Physicians. Families of Children’s patients are strongly encouraged to schedule through Children’s Connect; families of non-Children’s patients can schedule by calling 402-955-SHOT. All appointments must be scheduled; we are not taking walk-ins at this time.

Child Health Research Institute to Lead COVID-19 Vaccine Trials in Pregnant Women & Children
Physician-scientists in Omaha will be on the leading edge of research to ensure a safe, effective COVID-19 vaccine for pregnant women and children. The Child Health Research Institute (CHRI), a pediatric research partnership between University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and Children’s Nebraska, will be leading two new COVID-19 vaccine trials in these unique, important populations.
