OMAHA, Neb. (Oct. 10, 2024) – U.S. News & World Report has ranked Children’s Nebraska in its 2024-25 Best Children’s Hospitals rankings in the specialties of Pulmonology & Lung Surgery and Nephrology.

Children’s Pulmonary Medicine program is led by Casey Burg, M.D., division chief of Pediatric Pulmonology, while its Nephrology program is led by Melissa Muff-Luett, M.D., division chief of Pediatric Nephrology.
The 18th annual Best Children’s Hospitals rankings recognize the top 50 pediatric facilities nationwide in 10 pediatric specialties. U.S. News partners with RTI International, a North Carolina-based research and consulting firm, to collect and analyzed data from 108 children’s hospitals and survey thousands of pediatric specialists. Methodology factors in patient outcomes, such as mortality and infection rates, as well as available clinical resources and compliance with best practices.
